Explosion of Colors and Shared Smiles: The International Youth Center Transformed the Ruse Waterfront into a Vibrant Party Stage for June 1
The International Youth Center – Ruse celebrated International Children’s Day with the youth initiative “Extravaganza of Colors,” transforming the Ruse waterfront (the quay) into a space for creativity, free self-expression, and shared emotions. The event was held under the motto “You are the canvas, IYC provides the paints, life is a party,” sending a powerful message to young people that everyone paints their own path, while talent, courage, and imagination give it color.
Symbolizing this idea, every participant received a white T-shirt—a blank canvas upon which they used textile markers and paints to capture their individuality, ideas, and mood. As a result, each T-shirt became a unique piece of art, and the creative process demonstrated that the differences between people are exactly what makes a community more colorful, interesting, and strong.
The program continued with music, games, and various activities that created a true festival atmosphere along the Danube River. The culmination of the event was a spectacular color battle, during which hundreds of water balloons and clouds of colorful powder filled the air with bright hues, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
With the “Extravaganza of Colors” initiative, the International Youth Center – Ruse proved once again that youth activities can be both fun and meaningful when they encourage creativity, free expression, and the active participation of young people.
