“Green Mission Ruse” Launches at Elias Canetti Vocational High School

The International Youth Center – Ruse presented the school campaign “Green Mission Ruse” to students at Elias Canetti Vocational High School in Ruse. The initiative aims to encourage young people to gain knowledge and practical skills related to separate waste collection and environmental protection.

During the meeting, the team of the International Youth Center – Ruse introduced students to the main objectives of the campaign and the activities planned as part of the initiative. “Green Mission Ruse” includes information sessions in schools, practical activities focused on separate waste collection, a creative workshop for making items from recycled materials, and an exhibition featuring the students’ creations. Around 15 classes are expected to take part in the campaign.

During the visit, students were also introduced to the opportunities offered by the International Youth Center – Ruse. The team presented opportunities to participate in volunteering initiatives, non-formal education, sports and cultural activities, creative workshops and youth participation.

The “Green Mission Ruse” campaign aims to encourage young people to become active participants in environmental protection by combining information, practical involvement and creative activities.

The activity is implemented under a grant agreement within project 021/2026 “Young People in Action”, funded by the Youth Centers Financing Programme in the Republic of Bulgaria (2026–2028) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
