Young People Join Forces to Clean Up the Danube Riverbank in Lyulyaka

Together with students from Angel Kanchev Vocational High School of Agriculture in Ruse and representatives of Europe Direct – Ruse, the team of the International Youth Center – Ruse took part in a clean-up initiative along the Danube River in the Lyulyaka area.

During the initiative, participants joined forces to clean up polluted sections of the riverbank and collect waste, contributing to environmental protection and helping create a cleaner and more welcoming environment along the river.

The initiative encourages young people’s active participation in community life and promotes a responsible attitude towards the environment. Through volunteering activities like this, young people have the opportunity not only to improve their local surroundings but also to work together, develop a sense of responsibility, and set an example of active civic engagement.

This activity is implemented under Grant Agreement No. 021/2026 for the project “Youth in Action”, funded by the Programme for Financing Youth Centers in the Republic of Bulgaria (2026–2028) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
