International Youth Center – Ruse Joins the Open Day at Ikigai Sport – Ruse
Representatives and young people from the International Youth Center – Ruse took part in the Open Day organized by Ikigai Sport – Ruse.
The event brought together children, young people and parents for a day dedicated to movement, sport and a healthy lifestyle. The programme included a variety of games, sports challenges, prizes and opportunities for meetings and conversations on topics related to physical activity and health.
Participants had the opportunity to speak with a nutritionist and receive useful information about balanced nutrition, an active lifestyle and building sustainable healthy habits.
A special highlight of the programme was a meeting with two world champions – the event organizer Todor Sabev, world karate champion, and Svetoslav Samuilov, world grappling champion. They spoke with children and their parents about the role of sport in developing discipline, confidence, perseverance and a sense of responsibility.
The meeting also focused on the values that young people develop through sport – the ability to overcome difficulties, set goals, work consistently towards achieving them and persevere when facing challenges.
The participation of the International Youth Center – Ruse contributed to promoting opportunities for active youth participation and encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle.
The activity is implemented under a grant agreement within project 021/2026 “Young People in Action”, funded by the Youth Centers Financing Programme in the Republic of Bulgaria (2026–2028) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
