Youth Parliament Actively Supports the Giurgiu–Ruse Road Race

Young volunteers from the Youth Parliament at the International Youth Center – Ruse once again took an active role in the organization of the Giurgiu–Ruse Road Race.

For several hours, the volunteers supported the organization of the event and assisted participants along the route. They distributed water to the runners, helped with carrying their luggage and assisted with preparing the post-race refreshment breakfast.

Four of the young volunteers also decided to take on a personal sporting challenge. They successfully completed the entire 15-kilometre route, showing that active participation can be both a contribution to the community and a personal challenge.

Taking part in the race gave the young people an opportunity not only to support the organization of the sporting event, but also to participate in it themselves, making sport and physical activity part of their day.

The initiative is in line with the activities of the International Youth Center – Ruse aimed at promoting an active lifestyle, physical activity and healthy movement among young people.

The activity is implemented under a grant agreement within project 021/2026 “Young People in Action”, funded by the Youth Centers Financing Programme in the Republic of Bulgaria (2026–2028) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
