Opening of the First Creative Season at the International Youth Center – Ruse
On 25 September, the International Youth Center – Ruse welcomed its partners – school principals, representatives of institutions and organizations working with young people, local authorities and the media – for the presentation of the project “Young People in Action”, implemented under the Youth Centers Development Programme.
The project is being implemented from 1 July to 31 December 2026 and is aimed at more than 2,000 young people aged 15–29.
As part of the project, we are implementing nine areas of activity, creating opportunities for:
- 🔹 youth participation and civic engagement;
- 🔹 development of practical and financial skills;
- 🔹 discovering Europe and European opportunities;
- 🔹 sports and an active lifestyle;
- 🔹 career guidance and support for professional development;
- 🔹 communication, creativity and making new friends;
- 🔹 volunteering and social engagement;
- 🔹 environmental responsibility;
- 🔹 cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue.
The activities include Youth Municipal Council – Ruse, Money Skills Lab, “Europe Up Close”, “Ruse on the Move!”, “Mobile Hub”, “Night at the Youth Center”, Pickleball, “Green Mission – Ruse” and the “Youth Culture Festival – Ruse”.

The meeting was not only an opportunity to present the project and the new opportunities available to young people, but also to lay the foundations for new partnerships and joint initiatives with schools, organizations, institutions and the local community.
The activity is implemented under project 021/2026 “Young People in Action”, funded by the Youth Centers Financing Programme in the Republic of Bulgaria (2026–2028) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
