Ruse Youth Create the “Wall of Kindness” with the Support of IYC
On June 30, “Knyaz Alexander Battenberg” Square in Ruse became a crossroads of positivity, creativity, and acts of kindness. On their own initiative, local youth organized and held an exciting campaign called the “Wall of Kindness.” The project proved that significant change begins with small, sincere steps, and when youth drive meets the right support, the results are truly inspiring.
At the heart of the event was a specially designed flipchart featuring a large, symbolic heart. With bright smiles, the young organizers actively wrote and placed colorful sticky notes on the heart. The notes captured:
-
Stories of recently performed good deeds;
-
Positive messages and wishes to strangers;
-
Words of gratitude and inspiration for a more united society.
The “Wall of Kindness” is an excellent example of what happens when young people are given the space and support to bring their ideas to life. The concept was entirely developed by the youth themselves, and the team at the International Youth Center – Ruse was thrilled to back them up by assisting with the logistical and organizational preparation of the event. The young people and youth workers worked in perfect sync to ensure everything needed for the on-site execution and active engagement with the Ruse community was in place.
