The IYC – Ruse Team Upgraded Their Knowledge and Skills in Burgas
In the period from May 4 to May 7, 2026, the team of the International Youth Center – Ruse took part in an intensive advanced training and mobility practice in the city of Burgas. The event, organized by the National Focal Point, was aimed at refining the professional competencies of youth workers, educational mediators, and social specialists.
The training modules placed a major emphasis on the development of personal skills, effective teamwork, and the mastering of innovative methods for active youth participation. Utilizing methods such as the “Human Library” (Living Book), “World Café,” and Kolb’s experiential learning cycle, the participants developed training designs and simulations of real-life situations from daily practice.
Special attention was dedicated to:
-
Working with vulnerable groups
-
Youth empowerment
-
Fieldwork / Outreach work
As part of the program, a mobility practice was carried out at the Burgas Youth Center. This professional exchange allowed our team to get acquainted with successful models of mediation between institutions and families, as well as effective approaches to organizing large-scale cultural and educational events.
Participation in this training reinforced the importance of non-formal education and coordination among various specialists in the youth sector. The acquired knowledge and practical experience will be integrated into the future activities of IYC – Ruse, enabling us to offer even higher quality services and a more supportive environment for the young people in our city.
