Visit of the International Youth Center – Ruse Team to the District Information Center – Ruse

On August 6, 2025, the team of the International Youth Center – Ruse (IYC Ruse) visited the District Information Center – Ruse (DIC Ruse) to learn about the center’s activities, exchange experience, build partnerships, and establish mutual support.

The IYC Ruse team was welcomed by Ms. Diana Avramova – Manager of DIC Ruse, who introduced her team of four experts. They provide information regarding European programs and projects, as well as assistance to citizens, businesses, and other stakeholders in applying for and implementing initiatives.

Ms. Avramova explained that DIC – Ruse was established through an agreement between the Municipality of Ruse – project beneficiary, and the District Administration – Ruse – project partner. The project manager is the Deputy Mayor of Ruse Municipality for “Economy and International Cooperation” – Ms. Zlatomira Stefanova. The cooperation is formalized by the Municipal Council – Ruse and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria. The center is part of a national network of 27 district information centers operating throughout the country.

During the meeting, the DIC team presented their workflow, as well as the types of projects and initiatives they implement. During active (open) programs, the center organizes information events and meetings where current opportunities, conditions, and application deadlines are presented. For concluded (closed) projects, DIC – Ruse publishes compendiums of good practices and successful examples, which serve as a valuable training resource.

DIC – Ruse is a place where European opportunities become more accessible and understandable for everyone – citizens, businesses, and organizations.

The meeting was highly productive and inspiring. The IYC Ruse team became familiar with the center’s activities and initiatives aimed at promoting European programs and policies, as well as supporting young people in the region.

We believe that the partnership with DIC – Ruse will be extremely beneficial for the development of the International Youth Center’s activities. The center is a reliable source of information, organizing regular events, trainings, and campaigns that promote youth activity and awareness. The DIC team can contribute with ideas, guidance, and partner support for the implementation of joint initiatives, as well as for promoting the activities of IYC Ruse.
