“Green Future, Our Mission!”: Youth Transformed the Lipnik Forest Park in an Eco-Initiative

This past Saturday (July 4) turned into a true celebration of nature and youth creativity! Under the slogan “Green Future, Our Mission!”, the Lipnik Forest Park gathered dozens of motivated young people determined to make our region cleaner, greener, and more beautiful.

The event was organized entirely based on the idea of active youth from the International Youth Center – Ruse, who developed the day’s concept with great enthusiasm. The IYC team was delighted to stand behind them, providing full organizational and logistical support to breathe life into this important green cause.

The program was filled with smiles, learning, and shared moments. Participants took part in a fun eco-quiz, tested their resourcefulness in the “Find Recycled Objects” game, and learned valuable facts about proper separate waste collection. As a special and symbolic gesture to nature, the young people also planted seeds in cups, which they then took home to continue caring for and tracking their growth.

Of course, the most vital part was the practical action. Joining forces, the participants cleaned up designated areas within the forest park, proving that the slogan “Small steps today – a big future tomorrow!” is entirely real. In recognition of their hard work, enthusiasm, and care, all attendees received special rewards.

At the end of the day, the takeaway was clear: a powerful message for change, many new friendships, and most importantly—a much cleaner, more welcoming, and beautiful space left behind for all citizens and guests of Ruse.
